Q. I am pouring a patio. The dimensions are 20' by 10' by 4". How much concrete do I need to order?

  

A. Begin with this basic formula for figuring cubic yards:



Now, plug in your numbers to the equation to figure out just how many cubic yards you're going to need:



You are going to need approximately 2.5 cubic yards of mix! (always round up!)

Length x Width x Depth   =  Cubic Yards
              27      *Remember to convert all units to feet
                                    before plugging in your measurements!*

Q.   What is the conversion from cubic  yards to tons?

A. 1 Cubic Yard = 1.34 Tons

Q. What is the best type of gravel for my home driveway?

Farmer's Rock

A. The most commonly used rock for home driveways is our 3/4" Minus rock. Another choice may be our Farmer's Rock (pictured to the right).
